Our Community

The driving force behind our business isn’t cars, it’s people. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to give back to the communities who support us.

Marcus Armstrong Racing

One of New Zealand’s most promising motor-racing talents is also the son of our managing director, Rick Armstrong. Marcus Armstrong made his debut in 2020 in the top tier of junior racing in the FIA Formula 2. He joined French outfit DAMS for the 2021 campaign, one of F2’s leading teams, boasting an impressive list of alumni who have made it into Formula 1 in recent years.

Since his first karting race at just 10, Marcus has been busy building an impressive list of achievements and a global following. We’re proud to be one of his sponsors. Read more about Marcus here.

Black Spoke Pro Cycling

Black Spoke aims to remove obstacles for young cyclists, and help turn dreams into reality. The goal is simple – to have New Zealand cyclists competing and winning on the World Tour, the pinnacle of road cycling. By acting as an intermediary between amateur ranks and the highest level, Black Spoke seeks to benefit not only the riders but the wider sporting community.

Black Spoke seeks out the best cycling talent and provides mentoring, development and a racing schedule to open the pathway to a professional cycling career.

Armstrong’s are proud to support the Black Spoke team by providing a custom specified Peugeot 508 GT station wagon to make transporting their bikes and equipment for tours a breeze.

Ronald McDonald House Auckland

RMHC creates and supports programmes which strengthen Kiwi families throughout their children’s medical journeys, ensuring they are better placed to cope and help their children heal.

Auckland City Toyota as a part of Armstrong’s group has been proud to support the RMHC for a number of years now. Armstrong’s are proud to be behind the pioneers of family-centred care, and we will continue to support and strive to be part of the solution in improving the lives of hospitalised children and their families. Armstrong’s hopes to see a future where every family whose children require treatment at a hospital away from home can be reassured in knowing that they will be supported by incredible programmes like the RMHC.

Otago Boys High School First XV Rugby Team

Armstrong’s Land Rover Dunedin is proud to be associated with the Otago Boys Highschool, First XV Rugby Team.

Armstrong’s, alongside Land Rover New Zealand, have thoroughly enjoyed the association with the OBHS 1st XV and OHHS Rugby Club throughout the last couple of seasons. The OBHS games have become a highlight for staff as they follow the team’s successes and watch individuals develop and progress into national teams. Visit the OBHS website or follow them on Facebook.

Kindness Collective.

Kindness Collective, founded in 2014, is a collection of volunteers and donors, with one goal in mind: spreading kindness. They donate tools, time, resources and money to communities, help build and transform spaces to uplift people, and execute meaningful events and experiences for families, schools and community groups.

For the kindness to continue its spread, Armstrongs have provided vehicles, helping assist with the collection and delivery of goods. In the lead up to Christmas 2021, Armstrong’s made a goal of collecting at least 1000 gifts and donations to contribute the Kindness Collective Joy Store, for families who may not have the means to purchase presents for their children. We love being part of this journey and helping drive kindness throughout Aotearoa.
