Armstrong’s is excited to announce the launch of German Car brand Opel to New Zealand in the coming months. Top sellers in Europe, Opel will enter the New Zealand car market with an electrified range of vehicles just in time for the Government Clean Car Initiative. Every Opel car in the lineup will be eligible for a rebate, putting Opel in the same category as Tesla and Polestar.

With the government clean car standard coming into play, Opel is expected to be a game-changer in the market with a unique offering of bold design, German-made, electrified vehicles at an affordable price point.

Opel’s impressive model line-up will be made up of hatchbacks and medium-sized SUVs available in either hybrid or EV powertrains. The Opel range will consist of: The Corsa-e 100% Electric Hatch, The Mokka-e 100% Electric compact SUV, the Astra Hatchback Plug-in Hybrid, and finally the Opel Grandland Plug-in Hybrid mid-sized SUV.

Armstrong’s will be opening six Opel dealerships across the country and the first vehicles are expected to arrive end of July or early August. Keep an eye on Armstrong’s and Opel NZ’s social pages to get the latest on Opel in New Zealand.
